UK spec X1 xLine electric folding mirrors question

Hi everyone

Hopefully someone who's received their car with electric mirrors option can clear something up for me.

There are two options at £190 and £420. The cheapest is the electric folding mirrors and the more expensive anti dazzle electric mirrors that come with the anti dazzle interior mirror.

Now, online it seems to state that only the more expensive anti dazzle pack comes with a button inside the car to fold and extend the mirrors, hoping someone in the UK can confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you. I wonder if they've changed it recently? When was yours built out of interest?

I know in the latter half of 2016 BMW stopped fitting anti dazzle glass to the passenger side, yet this wasn't reflected in the cost, so im wondering if they also recently made the internal button part of the anti dazzle pack only?

Ditto. Mine is September 2015 build (pre-order, delivery on launch day).

I don't really understand how you're supposed to fold the mirrors if there is no button!

Me neither, however when building the X1 online recently it only states being able to fold them via internal button with the anti dazzle package. I guess if this was the case it would mean the mirrors only folded on the key remote when locking etc if you had the cheaper alternative. However I suspect they've forgotten to add this info and both options actually do include the button.

When I googled this it actually brought me to the F30 sub-forum and a user had stated he believed you needed the anti dazzle pack to receive an internal button on his car, so naturally I came here to confirm.

I've ordered it with the auto dimming mirrors anyhow. Thanks for the help

Just wondering, do the standard door mirrors dip when reverse gear is selected or do you need the folding mirror pack to enable this feature?

My car has the cheaper option and a button to fold the mirrors (or you can just hold down the lock button on the remote when locking the car). My car was built October 2017.

If you hold down the lock button on the remote for about 2-3 seconds, the mirrors fold.

If you toggle the mirror control tab to left (or right, can’t remember) when reversing the passenger mirror dips.
