Carly vs BimmerCode?

Looking to upgrade my mobile diagnostic setup. Previously I've just kept an OBDII bluetooth unit in my glove box and have used Torque for Android.

Anyone have experience with both applications? I'd like to be able to pull BMW specific codes from the modules in the car. I can code from my PC.

I use BlueDriver, and it's great imo. Can use with any other vehicle also.

Thanks for reply. Does it pull the BMW specific codes from various modules, or just OBDII codes?

I have been using Carly since it became available (used to be BMWhat).

It's good for what it does. The only thing I wish it did was having ability to reset adaptations. App already does read BMW specific (shadow codes) and clear codes, check perimeters, check OBD, initiate various functions, reset service, register battery, code certain items - pretty much what you want / need. Going beyond what the app is offering is slightly more advance level.

Bear in mind, this was not meant to be 100% replacement for your comp. There are def limitations, but for what it does, it does it well.

It pulls all BMW specific codes for all modules except ABS. However, it doesn't have a description for all codes (such as the BMW only DMTL pump), but the Mode 6+live data are helpful. I've been using it more than ISTA/D so far.

Sorry for poor wording. What I was trying to say is that app already supports almost everything you need, except to reset adaptations.
