Boost below target issues?

hey guys, my car has ran great for a couple years on JB4 and I run usually Map2 with downpipe and 93oct and I would always hit 12 or 13lbs. Then with 7 gallons on E85 I would run map7 and it would hit 17lbs. In just the last few weeks I can't get past about 9/10lbs. It shows l'm at least 4lbs below target. If I put it on map 7 i'm 8/9lbs below target. I was thinking it might be a boost leak so I checked all my connection for a boost leak and didn't see any.

I even tried running some E40, just incase I had some bad 93...

Any insight? Here are some logs.

Here is a log from January on Map2 where it was hitting the boost target.

You have a boost leak somewhere. You need to isolate and pressurize the air charging system and listen for leaks. Also, don't' forget that you could have a leak at the diverter valve.

I still have the stock DV. I think I might buy a smoke testing kit and see if there is an issue with a connection. Would smoke come out of the DV if its bad? or how do I test the DV?

To add to this thread, what constitutes a boost leak? Are we talking greater than 2 PSI, or 4 PSI, or just not hitting target? Ask because my logs I'm often under by 1 to 1 and 1/2 PSI but sometimes over by that much as well.

Thanks!

I used to always hit the target, now i'm always 4 to 5 lbs below. I have some screen shots above.

You are good with +/- 1.5 PSI. If measured boost is 4-5 PSI below then you have a boost leak.

so i bought a smoke tester and pressurized the system to 5psi and didn't see any leaks. I'm thinking its the diverter valve?

Whats your thoughts/

Pressurized the system to 10psi, no leaks. Then I got the Diverter valve+ still didn't fix the issue. I'm thinking now its the boost solenoid/pressure converter...

Any thoughts?

I got the new boost solenoid in and it didn't fix it.

Any ideas? What should I check next? Do you guys think it could be the wastegate is out of adjustment?

Can you pressurize to 15 psi? Sometimes leaks won't show up until it reaches a pressure threshold.

What smoke tester did you buy?

I used this one and its really designed for 2psi, so it was struggling at 10psi and the top would pop off. But it works well at 2psi.

Your WGDC jumped up considerably from your old log to your new one. Sure sign of a boost leak.

I ended up getting it pressure tested to 25psi no leaks. Then my valvetronic actuator went out and that ended up being the issue. Also got rid of the JB4 for BM3
