Looking to buy the Harmon Kardon amp for an f30 335.
Part number is 65129393185.

anyone that might know where i can get this amp at a discounted price please let me know. thanks!

Not to hijack this thread, but I have been curious about this amp.

Is the plug to the power and speakers the same as the base Hi-Fi? This would make a great cheap upgrade to the hifi system.

I realize there are more speakers in the HK, but there appear to be unused connections within the hifi wiring harness.

Check with TechnicPNP he could definitely answer your question.

I do believe that it's plug and play based on what I know. Since you're local-ish and the box is small shipping wouldn't be much if you wanted to try it out.

Awesome, that sounds like a plan, but I don't want to get in the way of the original poster here. I will try to find the wiring schematics while we wait for him to respond to you.

Yep you're next in line. Def check w Elias at TechnicPNP he can tell you yes plug and play or no but I can make you an adapter for $X. He's also a solid dude will advise you on the whole thing even if no $ involved for him.

Elias got back to me saying that hifi is analog and HK is digital, no available harness.

That's surprising - I had someone put my speakers in a hifi car but guess that's analog to analog.

I actually did that as well. Sounded great, the hifi tweeters are low end.

But the HK appears to connect to the headunit digitally, which makes some sense. You get a lot more control of the sound with the HK system.

I was hoping to swap amps and code for the controls.

That's interesting, in which case you could theoretically swap the amp for aftermarket and use your iPhone with lossless connected via USB then the digital to analog conversion would be done in the upgraded amp.

The DAC in the car is questionable at best.
