Embarassing encounter with convt. M6

I lined up at the light with this guy and we went for it as soon as the light turned green. Some of you already know from my previous posts , that I'm having limp mode problems with my Procede V2 2/26 map. I get a good launch and immediatly take a 3/4 car length lead and still pulling very slowly . Guess what happens , right about 90mph my half engine light comes on and this guy passes me like I was standing still ! He slows down , I could tell from his big cocky smile that he's dying to say something . Exact words "The 335 is a prety strong car but it does need alot of help top end". I didn't even want to discuss what had just happened .I'll just try to get him next time ,he lives in my neighborhood .

No , this was bad ! This guy probably didn't even let off until high triple digits .I predicted him probably inching away from me after a 100 and getting away further slowly .

What, do you have lights on your highways? Wow, I can't think of a road around here with a light where you can get up to 90 MPH + on...

Meh, just pretend that you were being rational and backing off at a sane speed. You really want a ticket and jail time for street racing at speeds >100 mph?

The Liters were not the problem. It was the LIMP from using the V2.

Curious....what mods do you have on your car? Do you have down pipes?

+1

Assuming you don't have DPs and FMIC, I'm thinking he would have passed you somewhere above 120mph, if you stuck it out that far. Sooner or later he's gonna pass you assuming he's got the balls (or stupidity) to go that far. I'm thinking the race is over before then though and you're not going to see his taillights...

Better to take it to a dragstrip and have the EMS on call...

Bone stock , besides getting rid of the runflats and putting 265/35/18 BF Goodrich (what a difference off the line !).

Well...sorry about the limp. Did you figure out what was causing the problem?
