Has anyone else noticed that they have not built a single Hockenheim Silver with orange stitching? I hope you can do so!

It hasn't been confirmed, but all of the M2 test mules have angled exhaust tips like the M3/M4 comp exhaust.

I noticed that in the past on an early M2 Competition test mule.

See this post from late October 2016 (AFAIK the first M2 Competition test mule was made earlier that month): http://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...2#post20780982

Don't worry. Out of 136 pre-series M2 Competition cars known so far:
  • 2 got the Hockenheim Silver Metallic color (code C33) + optional M Sports seats (option code 712) with perforated leather + orange contrast stitching (code MDOE). USA spec (2U73). Both were built earlier this year.
  • 1 got the Hockenheim Silver Metallic color (code C33) + standard seats (code 481) with plain leather + orange contrast stitching (code LCNZ). EUR LHD spec (2U71). That one was built last September.

^^^I wonder if so few of these have been HKS to prevent us from getting a good look at the color?

I don't recall any of the S55 M2 mules being a silvery white...but then again, who knows if I have seen all of those videos.

AFAIK 33 out of 136 pre-series M2 Competition cars (either built or scheduled) are HS:
  • 30 got blue contrast-stitching
  • 3 got orange contrast-stitching
VIN build sheets reveal that 14 of those 33 HS are PR campaign vehicles:
  • movie cars (code 901): 4 out of 4
  • press vehicles (code 902): 5 out of 5
  • trade fair/photo vehicles (code 903): 3 out of 7
  • photo vehicles for new series run-in (code 906): 2 out of 3

Great thread. This needs to a sticky until official release. Some of these questions are asked multiple times a day.

Does anyone know if this “Push the Limits” moniker is real?

Are you referring to the cool renders referenced in post #1015 in the dedicated M2 Competition thread (source: here) ?

Yes sir.

I hadn’t seen those until tonight - they’re very good and looks as good as real BMW advertising.

- Price is 4-5.000€ more than a M2
- Order in June for a July production (MY2019)
- Wheel similar to M3/M4 M Competition pack, but 19'
- Sunset or Sakhir orange available + light metallic grey, but no more mineralgrau
- Choice of blue or orange seat stitching
Hope that help!
The 585Nm/431.5lb-ft torque figure is indeed a lot: it's more torque than the M3/M4 (550 Nm/406lb-ft), just about 15Nm shy of the 600Nm/443lb-ft of the M4 GTS. Current M2 got 500Nm/369lb-ft (465Nm + 35Nm overboost).

Let's see what the official specs will say in the very near future.

I believe it. It's only more than the M4 Comp until the G series M3/M4 is out. Then the gap will widen.

BMW has a plan.
