My 06 330xi 6 spd now has 186k on the clock. She still runs great! but I just purchased an 08 328 e93 with 38k. I plan on doing the 3 stage, MILVS, intake, exhaust and tune (possible lightened flywheel and short shifter).

In looking for a 3 stage intake I came across a 70k engine complete with all accessories for $800. Is it worth keeping the block around since it has 110k less on it? debating on getting whole car for $1250 and parting out the rest, auto tranny, interior. My mechanic said he would pull the parts and take $ for the parts he pulls after I make my money back. What are the opinions? Reasonably how long can i expect the engine to last?
