Took delivery yesterday and am loving it all so far. The 6 month wait has been worth it. Looking forward to getting the running-in period done and properly testing.

Nice car, congratulations. Could you tell me which option you pick that you have bigger central screen? And I would also like to ask if you know where was your car built? USA or South African Republik?

bigger screen comes with the professional navigation.

As far as I know South African builds will only be available from April, I also heard that South Africa will build the M40d and not the M40i.

strike4A As I see you have acoustic glazing, can you comment in the wind noise in M40i thread? Seems like no one with that option commented on that.

I have heard that gradually all X3 vehicles for EU(European Union) market will be build in South Africa. But don't know where X3 will be build for UK market since they are leaving EU. Maybe in USA?

So when German costumer is going to buy X3 or Q5, he will get the car from South Africa or Mexico. I am not looking forward to that... but nowadays companies care only about profit.
Not to mention that Daimler(Mercedes) recently sold 10% of their stocks to China and Kuwait has also 6% share in Mercedes. On the other hand 15% of all VW's stocks(which owns Audi) belongs to Qatar.

German premium brands are becoming everything except German and parts build in their cars are also from all over the world(with very high margin because of brand logo).

I don't have any reference point as the test drive I had was a 20d with Acoustic Glazing so it's difficult to judge. What I would say is that in Comfort mode, the car is very quiet so far. I have Pirelli P Zero Runflats.
