Best turbo spool increase for under $200
$200 is my budget give or take a couple dollars but I am looking for the most dramatic increase in turbo spool sound for this amount of money. Any recommendations?

So you're looking for sound increase or spool increase?
2 completely different things. Sound increase is DPs and air intakes. Spool increase is piggybacks/software.

DP's do spool increase, intake and any larger piping.
Intake for $200. Intake isnt really spool though, the back pressure on the cold side isnt as much of an issue on these cars, but if you have a free flowing hot side and a limited cold side then you should go for an intake for spooling reasons, but if you have a backed up post turbo hot side and a flowing cold side then you are stuck with the hot side to alter spool times. You wont pick up spool with an intake. You will with DP's. You will with an intake after DP's.

I meant the sound...like the "psssssssss...*shift*...psssssssss...*shift*...pss sssssss" sound. I'm sure you know what I mean. I can already hear it bone stock, esp. when I pass cars parked on side streets. But I need more. The sound is intoxicating.
Obviously its intake, but what kind will I get the most noticeable sound increase...I want to HEAR my turbos spool up. |

get an electronic blow off valve noise generator.
i mean the sound is what you are after yes? screwing with the mass air flow system and dumping loads of money for a hybrid bov (uses very little mass air to generate the pssht noise) seems silly. i thought you wanted to spool faster for less than 200 bones. well a 25 shot of nitrous probably do the trick there. easy to find kits cheap you'll have 26psi @1400rpm with a 25 shot. never mind the rods sticking out of the motor.

An intake will do it. The BMS intake is only $130 or so shipped.
