335is/550i Clutch

I had a 335is/550i clutch installed by BPC a few weeks ago after 44,000 miles , 24k of which are with a PS2 installed/tuned. It started slipping under downshifts after I had an M-LSD installed a few months. Just moved the weak point from the tires to the clutch I guess.

The flywheel was in good shape, so just the clutch kit. So far I have been quite happy with the results. The clutch certainly grabs much better than the failing stock clutch did and the pedal feels and engagement are stock. I will update at some point in the future.

I am not setting any dyno records, but I am around 1.75x my stock tq/hp levels.

Thanks for the review. Sub’d as I plan to go the same route when I need to upgrade my clutch.

Keep us updated after some more drivetime.

YES!!!! So glad someone did this and posted about it. Thanks OP!!!

Now, if only we can get a surefire easy way to get rid of the CDV in the slave/master cylinder without having custom tubing bent in order to use the e9x unit (I think that is what someone previously said in another thread that I can't find at the moment).

is the 335is clutch an upgrade over the f30 n55 clutch? the clutch on my 2013 with 54k miles jus noticed it slipping in 2nd gear. I was trying to do some research to see if a M3 F80 clutch will fit in place of the stock 335i clutch. I plan on replacing the junk dual mass flywheel in place of solid flywheel.

Did you stay with the stock DMFW or go SMFW?
