JB4 on X30i - Anyone looked into it yet?
I received confirmation from Berger tuning that the JB4 model is compatible for us -http://shipment.co/tracking/2675/4201124992612927005127230000036296
Has anyone else looked into it? Claiming 40hp at the wheels with the B46/48 engine... |

I can confirm it works fine on G01 B58 so I don't see why it wouldn't work on the B48 as it does for the 5 series. I just don't think they have updated their website yet.
Install is super easy btw

I havent ordered it yet, trying to get a clarification between the JB4 and the JB+ as I don't intend to add a down pipe in the future.
It is my understanding you need to add the bluetooth model with both of them for the digital dash? Also looking at the Dinan option. |

How does the 30i drive with Jb4? Better than stock? Somehow, I feel that it drives better without jb4. Jb4 makes it feel heavier and slower, and only faster at WOT. Don't know what other's experience is.

I've been toying with this idea for a while. I have my lease for another 10 months and toying with buying the car out of the lease due to market conditions on new cars and the lack of incentives from bmw. My guess is this isn't going to change for a while.
To my question, has anyone had both the jb+ and gone to the jb4 on a b46 (b48)? I'm in cali so best gas I can usually get is 91. Does the jb4 create a more linear experience then the jb+, or are they essentially the same for the 91 octane gas I get here? I don't have plans to do other mods, just looking for some more consistent power. |
