Stationary heating

I took my car yesterday afternoon. I have ordered the stationary heating (webasto) as an option... i was looking all the way home on how to activate this option and I really don’t know how ...

On the display key there is only the last option — something about climate bla bla ... in the idrive I have also stationary heating/ ventilation and only three timers... it is nothing regarsing heating ... is it the same menu to set ventilation/ heating up ?

Thanks ... i’ll go read the manual - but i’m really annoyed because of this ... now i’m in bed thinking ...

I don't know the answer, but I want you to ask - how many keys did you receive along with the display key?

According to the info I got you can activate it with the display key, the app or through idrive. Haven't got my car yet so can't help you out more I'm afraid.

I have the display key, the car came with one regular remote key as well.

I see that discussed all the time on the Transit forums - for their camper conversions (mine's still a cargo van). Is that a gas or diesel fired heater? That sounds intense for a G01!

@titomi - i have the display key, a regular standard keyfob and a metal, small key to go with the display key as the dealer told me in case of a drained battery.

@keweenawbee - it’s a diesel car. The display key has the following menu

I started preconditioning and because it’s 6degrees outside it shows like a thermometer near the fan. So I think that it uses the fan only when it’s hot outside and auxiliary heating when it’s cold.

6 degrees celcius is not hot. It should heat it up to whatever you had the car set to during the last use.

It heated up the interior. Yesterday was about 23 and only ventilation started.

Oh so you mean if it's warmer than the interior should be the AC isn't activating is that correct? As far as I heard AC doesn't activate on these systems. IT's only a heater. Which is very unfortunate.

When it’s warm/ hot it blows the air from outside , inside the car - every g01 has this - air circulation.

When it’s cold - it starts the auxiliary heating and blows hot air inside the car
