Charge pipe recommendation

Hey,

Looking to replace my charge pipe. I was looking to get the ER one and was hoping to pick up a lightly used one off someone but that doesn't seem to come up too often. I was looking online and noticed the VRSF one is under $200 and they have the Xdrive model now.

Any one that has a Xdrive (I have 435i Xdrive) have any complaints or fitment issues? Just not looking to spend close to $400 for a brand new black ER one. Its just a pipe in the end haha. Car is all stock under hood and no plans for intercooler etc. The big price difference just makes me wonder.

I installed a vrsf charge pipe on my 335i xdrive a couple days ago and fitment was perfect. I did install it along with the vrsf 5" hd fmic, but I don't see why it wouldn't connect to the stock intercooler just as well.

I don't have X-Drive, but I can attest that VRSF has no fitment issues. Don't be negatively swayed by the lower price point. Think of it as "value" vs "cheap". I have both the VRSF charge pipe and c/l downpipe (bought from mike over x-ph.com...highly recommended vendor), and I have zero issues on quality or fitment.

I had issues with both quality and fitment with the VRSF charge pipe on my 435xi w/ 8AT. Take a look at the FTP charge pipes on Bavauto.com and Ebay. Better quality and fitment. You should consider an intercooler upgrade while you are at it since you have upgraded to stage 1. Might as well replace the TIC too ("boost pipe" which you can get from FTP or ER) as it's really easy of you plan to drop and replace your intercooler.

I just installed my vrsf CP in my 2014 335i. No issues with fitment. I did replace my intercooler at the same time with the vrsf intercooler so don’t know how it lines up with the stock intercooler.

VRSF is our most popular charge pipe option for Xdrive cars

It would help to elaborate on your issues to help others. What problems did you have?

It lines up perfectly with stock or most aftermarket intercoolers.

I had issues on the upper portion of the CP hitting a spot on the power steering assembly (where a plug is located on the top side). I had no issues clearing this spot with the FTP.

You don't need those unless your OEM pipe exploded and you lost them..

Both ER and VRSF are great charge pipes..
