New F30 Owner looking to Mod

Hi everyone,

I just picked up a really clean, well optioned 2014 335i M Sport and new to the F30 world but a former E92 owner (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1130366).

I'm planning to mod my car pronto (FBO for now, potentially meth and PS2 down the road) and it's an 8AT (sigh). Has anyone tested the limit of this transmission (can it handle PS2)?

Also, is there a definitive release date for MHD or BM3? I have a cat-less DP, CP, and FMIC on the way and looking for a tune that can clear my CEL from the DP install. I was hoping to go BEF but if I can't get on the beta for either I may go the JB4 route.

Thanks and looking forward to contributing here.

BM3 is already out and available for OBD flash with ENET cable. Go with the flash rather than the JB4.
As for the PS2 and transmission, I do believe there are a few detailed posts around it. I haven't really seen anything saying the transmission can't handle it.

bm3 is out and IMHO the better choice. bm3 cars are putting down solid numbers and logs. it has the most active community and support as well. can't go wrong with bm3.

+1 for BM3. I just jumped in and am now hooked on the extra power. FBO + stage 2 tune will put a smile on your face, guaranteed. Especially since you have an EWG.

I like JB4 for what it is. it's a great versatile piggyback tune with a few cool features. but BM3 controls the powerband much better, as it is a flash tune and has full control over the DME. it's my next step and I will keep JB4 for the features.

BM3 can delete the CEL, delete cold start, and a bunch of other cool stuff too.

Check with bkkeys here on the forums and he can guide you in the right direction.

Hello,
I can help with mods

Most popular tune options for us are Jb4, Active Autowerke OBD tune and Bootmod 3.

We also offer combo deal packages if you are looking to get more than 1 product at a time.

Thanks for the replies everyone. What’s the recommended way to obtain a BM3 license? Can I flash with the bimmergeek cable? Appreciate the help.

You basically buy liscecnce from PTF or from us or from any vendor selling it. Once you buy you get emailed link with instructions and liscence key pretty much right away.. SO in theory you can be flashed and having fun within an hour of getting the
lisence

Its pretty simple

Flashed bm3 OTS stg 1 93 octane today and as expected it’s awesome. Now I just need to find time to install the dp and ic then stg 2. Really happy with it so far.
