Interior X3 Emblem

Hi,

Did anyone realise that the X3 emblem in the interior, near the wireless charging bay, is tilting away from the driver. Is this intentional?

Just realised that it doesn't flow with the dashboard above.

Maybe it's because it was setup for left-hand drive, and they didn't mirror it for RHD?

That's what i am curious to know.

Can anyone with LHD comment if the emblem is pointing towards the driver or away?

Emblem

Type A guy myself. My new car arrives tomorrow, however I have questioned the same thing on the demos I have driven. The answer I get for LHD is that basically the dash is minimally slanted toward the LHD thus the cockeyed look as this part of the dash is built flush. Something I haven't done, but you might try, is to place yourself in the middle of the rear seat and look forward and see if it still looks as if it is on a slant. Key me know how it goes) Cheers

hahaha...you are right!!!...when i sit behind in the middle, it doesn't look slanted. so, my eyes is playing trick since the dash is slanted towards the driver from the driver seat.

Thanks Gudus! So, it looks like it is intentional that the emblem is tilted away at least from the Driver side view. From the back, it is not so obvious.

BMW is playing an illusion with us....

The driver is well aware of the car they are driving, the tilt could be to remind/inform the passenger of the X or M Sport status of the car they are in

Similar subject!! Has anyone else noticed that BMW appear to have moved model designations from the doors to the rear hatch (see latest on-line brochure) ie same as M40i.
