Icon Adaptive Full LED Headlights vs LED Headlights with Cornering Lights

Can anyone point me to a thread or comment on the benefits of the Icon Adaptive lighting?

Are they truly better?

(I do know they look sweet.)

Well, they are truly better looking!

For F30, the Adaptive LED is brighter with higher wattage LEDs than the regular LED headlights. Not sure if this is true for G01 or not.

But the full benefit of Icon Adaptive headlights won't be realized until you activate Variable Light Distribution and Non-Glare High Beam through coding (both disabled for cars for North America). Then they should work amazing.

Did you get yours coded to have the variable light distribution etc unlocked?
I am holding off on any coding changes for a few months until the software is more stable. They have already done two software updates on mine and a TCU change that lost all my preferences and pairing.

Not yet, that's my plan.
I want to wait a bit to make sure that there is no bug or glitches before I make any modifications.
