Does anyone prefer the stock lip vs. aero lip?
For some reason, I am almost indifferent with regards to the aero lip on the AW E92. Am I nuts? Just wondering if anyone else feels like the stock lip is just fine...

Stock looks too plain. The Aero lip looks more aggressive.
This often gets asked about the side skirts too. The OEM side skirt looks fine, but the M-tech side skirts look more aggressive.

Decide for yourself seeing the difference side by side below. I was like you and semi-reluctantly decided to do it but I like it a lot better now after a week. Specially since it only lowers the bottom of stock lip about 1/8 inch total (thickness of material only). This reduces the chance of damage by wheel stops at parking stalls. Although, you still have to be careful since stock E92 sits lower than most cars.

i think stock one is fine!! but if you have money and you want a more agressive look then go ahead.

Definitely the aero. I saw some pics of one 335i that I was planning on purchasing (which didn't have the aero lip at the time). Got to the house and he installed the aero lip a couple weeks back..BIG difference. It looks more aggressive..

For some reason I'm not a fan of the Aero Lip, but I have not seen
one in person so I will have to wait and see.

I don't mind the aero lip but, don't like it enough to get it. I still haven't seen a lip that I really want for the E92.
I wish they would have put some cut lines in the side of the bumper like they did on the E90 to make the transition from lip to stock bumper a little cleaner. |
