More aggressive exhaust note
Hey guys I'm new to the world of beamer ownership & I've come to find out it's not the cheapest. I have an '11 e92 328i and I want to make the exhaust note extremely aggressive without dropping 1k+ on the PE or something similar. I've already put on a duke dynamics quad diffuser and had the pipes routed with a muffler and resonator delete but it's just not enough. I want to delete the secondary cats and replace them with either 2 vibrant bullet resonators or a single carven r performance muffler. I want it to be loud and aggressive but not sound like a Honda with a fart can. Some guidance with this would be extremely helpful.

Huh. My experience coming into E90s is the opposite. Parts are quite cheap compared to what I'm used to looking at.
Get some headers and delete the secondaries, keep the stock catback, boom, done, or search if you want to know more.

That's because you're coming from the M world, Phyrexia.
OP: First of all, it's spelled Bimmer. Now that that's out of the way. Yes, German cars cost more than Japanese or American, and their parts do too. Judge the cost of mods on the cost of the car, it's usually pretty accurate. Anyway, I'll echo what Phyrexia already said as it's good advice (except don't go with the stock muffler - or apparently it will never be loud). If you want loud and power, pick up a set of AA or Supersprint headers. You'll want a tune to go with them. A more mild alternative, offering just a little more sound and power, is to delete the secondary cats. You can have a shop cut them out and weld in pipes, or pick up some "race pipes" from aFe or Supersprint. Check out the classifieds on this forum. I'm actually selling a pair now, if you're interested let me know. Cheers, aM

Headers, no secondaries, Eisenmann exhaust to include res. Sounds great! But if you're on a budget...
