No More Drive Assist / Drive Assist Plus !??
Checking out configurator again today. (This is what you do when you are in week 4 of waiting for delivery.)
There is no options for Driver Assist or Driver Assist Plus. Tried two different browsers. Configured like the one I ordered, it's $2,600 less as expected without those options. Tried various configurations. Couldn't get packages to show. What's going on? Problem with web page? Low on parts? IDK. See pic below. |

I just did a build and got the same thing.
A day or so ago, they updated the configurator. Like most tech changes, something is bound to get screwed up, and this is probably one of those things. I would, however, forego any Driving Assistance if it meant a respectable M steering wheel. |

Active Cruise Control also appeared under the option section yesterday.
I was suppose to submit my build at the dealer yesterday, but will now be placing it next week. If the website doesn't change back before than hopefully this means the same features for less? If that's the case I'm going to have to add the dynamic handling package. |

Also, I'm pretty sure Driver Assist is buried within the Exec Package or Premium Package you already selected. But I may not remember correctly. [EDIT:] Nevermind, I went back and looked, it was the Parking Assist Package included under Executive Pkg. DA is definitely a separate, expensive add on (but worth it IMHO). |

I'm always amazed at how much quicker the delivery process is there... Here in france i have to wait more than 4 months to get mine. I know that it has to do with the fact that X models are produced in the US but still, way too long for my patience

Curious if you heard anymore about the DAP & DAP+ packages? Went to build my car today and noticed them missing. I asked on the build thread before I realized this thread had started. Sorry!

Two days ago I went to my local dealership to test drive an X3 and inquired as to why the drivers assist and assist plus wasn't available as optional packages. I was told there's a chain and supply shortage. There's no timetable as to when it will be cleared up however I was still able to order a 30i with driver assist packages through the dealer.

Yeah my order I was just trying to place has both Drive Assistance and DA Plus - so hopefully this just means a delay of a few weeks. Don't have specifics yet. My dealer is on top of it, I'll try to remember to post back here once the supply issue is resolved.

I will be placing my order this week. With the news of the delays because of the driving assistant packages I hope I'll get the car by July 5th. We have a big road trip to Oregon planned for July 7th and I would love to use that to break in the X3. Sounds like it should be fine, but still going to cross my fingers. |

Both M steering wheel and DA packs available in Spanish configurator. Ordered my X3 with them in April, yesterday checked with my dealer that no notification received from BMW regarding any delay or problem. However, I still do not have VIN or production date.

All available to me too so I do not understand how a shortage of spare parts seems to affect only the USA, whether it is the assistants or the sterring wheel. How can this be???

At bmwusa.com, F15 lost DA, DA+ and PA packages during the same time. This, IMO, kind of confirmed the parts shortage. However, G02 still has DA & DA+ listed in its build page though G02's DA package is only $500 (comparing to $900 for G01).
Hope this can be clarified as a whole. |

I ordered mine late February with all the options and i'm planned for a week 23 production so i guess i'm in the good timing. I wouldn't allow a delay, almost 5 months overall

It's still available. Talk to your CA. He/she will build it and then it appears. BMW's ordering system is not as sophisticated as their vehicles.
