Big thumbs up on the ventilated seats

First day of really warm weather in MN after the recent BLIZZARD? Popped the home loft skylights, popped the X3 sunroof and tapped-on my seat fan. After about 5 minutes I told my wife (who had heat in her zone and heated seats selected) that I felt the effect!

I think I’m gonna survive the loss of the power side bolsters.

What about the comfort of the Ventilated seats? Other have commented that they had issues on longer journeys

My wife is a real light weight, but she had no issues after a recent 1000 mile round trip. I have had no noticeable discomfort on my couple hour jaunts so far.

Hang on - my Internet says Minnesota managed to get to a peak of 66f today.

I was relieved (in early autumn) that we had a cool one (77) today so I was loving that I didn't really need much cooling and popped the windows down instead!

That is good to know your seats are working for you given you have them, I will maybe never know but I've a feeling the passive air and some reports that BMW ventilation is fairly weak would make them ineffective on the days that we want them for, which are frequently over 86 and can reach all the way up to 120 where everything from seatbelt buckles and chromed volume knobs to your plastic sunglass arms become weaponised.

Completed another 650 mile round trip this weekend. The ventilated seats fit our needs perfectly and we have yet to notice a drop of perspiration on our backsides (which we always had at the end of our trips in our 2012 X3 35i and 2015 LCI X3 35i with MSport seats). The ventilation is certainly not air-conditioned per se, in that you don't really feel a cold breeze coming through the perforations, but as it is providing cabin air to the seat surface the ability to prevent perspiration thus far has been successful (which for us is the point). Seat comfort is great, at least to us, but understand how that is a personal observation. Ambient Temp was 67-81 degrees on the drive back (64-74 on the outbound leg), and we had the A/C set at 73 deg 'Auto'.

I took a trip from Atlanta, GA to Charlotte, NC recently and had no issues with the vented seats. Pretty relaxing drive especially with lane assist and radar cruise.
