Bonus Miles
How realistic are bonus miles in EcoPro?
In EcoPro I'm racking up between 25-28 bonus miles per tank, mostly highway miles in my X3. In my 2016 328iX same speeds and distances I might gain 4 bonus miles per tank. Last edited by Sea-Tac; 04-27-2018 at 12:20 PM.. |

I’m getting about the same. But now that I’ve covered 1,200 miles....too tempting to use sport!
I’ve started to use the “adaptive” function. Seems quite good too - anybody got any feedback on it? |

I'm able to get 25 bonus miles while driving a mix of city and highway. I've noticed that eco pro doesn't help much on long highway stretches. It's beneficial with limiting your acceleration and coasting down hills or to stops. With mostly highway I only get about 15 extra miles. Lately, I've had to do a lot of 200 mile days of highway driving (70-75 mph); eco pro, comfort or adaptive, I get the same 27-28 mpg. My normal daily commute in comfort and adaptive had me at 24.5 mpg; eco pro 26 mpg.

Adaptive is a fun setting. Everything tightens down. Car definitely seems more agile and yet at the same time more planted especially in the twisties. I think the dynamic damping control option that I have really helps with this too. Steering feels a bit more precise. Very useful in mountain driving. Its very tempting to keep that setting "on" all the time.
