F36 LCI Hardwire Dashcam - Alternative to 66, 69, 162?

Hey folks,

Today I went to get my dashcam hardwired by my local servicer (Halfords in the UK). They, as a rule, only hardwire to a combination of a live ignition fuse (often the cigarette fuse/USB) which are fuse codes 66, 69, and 162. The fuse symbol usually looks like this:
-C.>+

The problem is that, 66 and 69 is now at the very front of the vehicle (under the bonnet) - the servicer are unwilling to hardwire here (seems impossible too).

My question is what other alternatives are there? They are reluctant to use the fuse for headlamps, windows etc due to safety. I believe this is an issue for LCI models only.

The dashcam is a 2 channel blackview DR750S-2CH.

Regards, Naweed.

I hardwired my F750 dual cam to the fuse in the trunk. I don't remember which fuse but if you do a search on this forum, you will find a thread about this.

Find another installer. There's no reason why you can't run a wire through the firewall to the forward fuse box. There may well be other options, but I'm not familiar with the F36.

Isn't the fuse box on F36 in the trunk? That's where my dash cam was wired. I also have a dedicated Cellink NEO battery to avoid draining the vehicle battery.

There's a fuse box under the hood and one in the trunk, the one under the hood for the electronics in front, the one in the trunk for the electronics in back. You can run a wire from the box in the rear to the dash, but that's a lot more work than running one from the front fuse box to the dash. There may be an outlet down under the glove box. The wire to that could be tapped for an easy dash supply. Mine has one, I can't say with the F36.
