BMS intake for F30 N55, red filter option?

I could have swore I saw an F30 with a BMS intake and a bright red filter, but I just wrote their live chat and they said they only offer blue intake filters. Kind of odd, since my BMS intake came w/ a black filter, so I'm sure they don't only make blue ones, but I can't find a red filter anywhere. I tried to use K&N Filter Oil, but that just darkened mine up and doesn't look red at all.

No, the only replacement is the blue filter it comes with, which in time will turn darker or black.

But mine came brand new black, so that shows that blue isn't the only option.

Only the N54 intake comes with blue, red and white filters.

All their other intakes are with blue filters only

S&B wrote me back and said they have red ones to fit the f30 n55 intakes from BMS! Dopeee..

Maybe I am missing something here..

The color of the filter is based on the oil that is used on it. As mentioned above, the BMS intake may come as "blue" but after a while it will turn grey/black and needs to be re-oiled.

I purchased a K&N spray to re-oil my BMS intake and now it's red. I hope that helps!

Sorry for the confusion xxxjecxxx2 but I was just asking initially if anyone knew where to get a red filter, as mine came black and BMS stated they only sell blue ones when I contacted them.. So I contacted S&B (who BMW gets their filters from) and they told me to provide them with the filter serial # and they'd check to see about a red one. Low and behold they claimed to have one and it should be here within the next 7 days..

Get this for your black filter. Spray it on and you will have a red filter.

Trying to help because I was also confused about this when buying the BMS filter. You can buy this and change the color.
