Swap blackout grille for regular grille?

I'm looking into getting a 430i off the lot, specced pretty much how I'd order it, but it has the blackout grille. I much prefer the traditional grille. Is this something I can ask the dealer to swap out, or is it advised to try to find someone on the forums nearby who wants to trade?

EDIT: It's an M Sport

I'm sure someone will chime in and trade with you. A lot of people switch to black.( Because it's better. )

If it's a good dealer, yes. My dealer did this--just tell them they need to do it or no deal.

I sent the CA an email. He’s been great so far, so I’m inclined to think that if he can, he will.

It is a pretty odd choice especially with the msport package as that changes all the trim to black so the black grill would match better, but it's your choice.

Would a 2014 f32 grill fit? I would be willing to trade.

Yeah! If I had an M car that’s one thing but it’s a 4 cylinder...I want the traditional look.

Another question - the dealer is in Arizona and I’m in the SF Bay. Apparently the car will not be shipped in any kind of plastic covering. I’m inclined to go pick it up myself. Thoughts on shipping a car open carrier (covered negates my savings on this vehicle) from AZ to SF?

I have a MY2018 M440ix. I just swapped my traditional grills to black. The grills are about 80 each, although the dealer told me the chrome were a little bit more. I'm willing to sell my chrome ones if they will fit.

I would imagine your car would be better protected being shipped on an open trailer vs driving through the desert from AZ to SF. That being said personally I would go pick up the car and enjoy the drive back- some of my best drives have been flying in and picking up cars out of state and driving them home

I’m in the Bay. I have a 2015 428i convertible. If you want my stock ones I’ll gladly swap with you. I think they are the same from 428 to 430 correct?
