Hi, I am looking to get out of my current lease by the end of this month or next, and I am looking for a 330xi Alpine white/Coral red m sport, which is obviously hard to come across. While I am open to other color combinations and packages, my dealer has a very drab selection of black or grey on black. Coming from a black on black 320, i want to switch it up. So my question is- can dealers swap inventory? A few dealers around Long island (where I am from) have combos I like and one has the white/red m sport. Has anyone had experience? Will they be less willing to negotiate on a car they get from another dealer? Thanks in advance.

Why don't you go to the other dealer who has the car?

in the area, yes depending on how well the managers get along.. most times its ususally not an issues... but there are no guarantees in life..

I like the staff/ my CA at the dealer 5 minutes from my house, so if I can stay with them, I will. Thanks

Well if you have good relationship, why haven’t you asked them to attempt a swap?

I am out of the state until the end of the week. I am just looking for prior experience before I go forward and sit down with them this coming weekend.

If they like you they'll get you what you want. Dealers swap cars all the time.

Should not be a problem. I've got my current car from ParkAve BMW in NJ but they did a swap with a LI dealer to get the car.
The car was driven to my dealer not flat-bedded though and came with 55 miles on it.
BTW since when white/red became not easy to get. It looks like half of the 3 series come with this color combination. M Sport 330s aren't common here I agree completely.
BTW, since you are getting an xDrive car you may want to get the adaptive suspension though 330s with adaptive are really difficult to find.
