Hi,

I have had an M2 for two years and I got the text messaging from my iPhone working without a problem.

Now I cannot get the M5 to show text messages. I found all the menus to set it up, chose source of Text messages (my iPhone) and set the filter to "All". Still no messages show up.

I got the Calendar working without difficulty and also the M-laptimer app to work. Both without doing anything special.

Any thoughts? I really need that feature working. It is so handy.

Go to settings on your phone, if you have Iphone go to the bluetooth page and select the little "I" symbol to the right of the BMW Bluetooth connection.
Select "show notifications"
Or just use carplay.
If it's android, disconnect and reconnect the phone and MAKE SURE to accept all permissions. They take a bit longer to load than the contacts and such.

Thank you now I get text in all my cars, I always thought they were just broken, lol.

Thanks! I forgot how to do this, since I had it set up for years in my '16 550i! Now I can get texts and load my contacts!

Can you elaborate on the menus where you select the source as "iPhone"? I can't get any text messages to show up.
