Scored some style 230 OEM 19" wheels on CL!

I was searching on CL the other day and came across a set of style 230 wheels to cheap to pass up. Had to buy longer valve stems due to the extra thickness of what appears to be hollow wheels. Anyway, here they are and a few pics of the valve stems, etc.

Installed some H&R springs and spacers to compliment the wheels.

Probably the same set. I think they were listed on a Friday and I bought them the next morning. I'm glad you passed on them.

I don't believe I have all the info right this second, but if your version is hollow like mine, then you'll need the longer valves stems. You will reuse your TPMS sensors though. I'll grab the part # off a front wheel this evening. The longer valve stems are around $20 each and you buy online or at the BMW dealer, part # 36136775937.

Rear wheel
19" x 9"
part # 6779659
BBS

Front wheel
19" x 8"
part # 679658
BBS

Thanks for your response.

Sure. take your time. It's just that I got 4 different part numbers on my wheels, so I was curious to know what part numbers are there on your rims.

So I called up 3 dealers nearby and they all quoted me different prices for part # 36136775937. They quoted me was 58+tax, 49+tax and third one was 41+tax. On all other sites (ecs, bavauto, getbmwparts, *********), its around 20-23 bucks only (half the price), but they all will take 8-10 days to ship to me, as this being a special order.
Looks like these dealers are absolute money-grabbers!

$22.37 and shows available, which I assume means in stock...plus, lifetime warranty, so if they ever leak the replacement is free.

Grip Grip, you've pretty much done what I would like to...19s and H&R lowering springs. Did you go with RFTs? I'd love to meet up sometime and go for a ride, just to see what the wheel/tire/spring combo feels like.

I added the part # for the front wheels above. You can also get the valve stems off ebay and they ship from California in one of the listing that has all 4 for $100 shipped (eBay item number:132595660083). According to your profile, that's fairly local to you.

I work in North Nashville, and I can drive it to work this Wed if you want to check it out during lunch. Otherwise, feel free to come by this weekend and take a look. As for tires, I didn't go with runflats and actually bought a very inexpensive yet well-reviewed tire by Falken (Ohtsu FP8000).

Thanks a lot! you are so so helpful man!!

i m inclined towards buying from BMW Mountain View as after some convincing they are now selling 2 of these valve stems to me for 52 bucks (with tax)!
I just need two of these for now for the front rims, as the rear ones are already changed free of cost (with unbranded part) by America's Tire during my last tire change.

@ Emilime75 - Thanks for the link, they charge 10 bucks for shipping, so it comes out to be same price for me. But I will bookmark the site for my other bmw parts.

I went from my 287's w/RFT's to a set of 230's w/19" RFT's (on Eibach Pro Kit/Koni STR.T) and hated the ride. It felt like I was driving on wagon wheels to the point that it would HURT going over uneven roads. I switched to PSS's and the ride and handling got 100% better. I didn't mind the RFT's on the 18's, but on the 19's, they absolutely S**K!!
