Idrive Not working

As anyone ever had their iDrive not turn on. I went to get coffee in the morning left the car running. I drove back home and turned the car off, 20 minutes later when starting the car back up again the I-Drive didn't turn on, no radio, no Navi, no backup cam nothing zero. I heard the system needs to reboot. I never had this happen before. anyone has any clue what it is

I had the same problem and a new battery seems to have fixed it for now

I had this problem on my 2013 335i. On the first occasion after leaving the car for 24 hours the idrive came back on.

On the 2nd occasion it didn't come back on. None of the posted "how to reboot your idrive" suggestions worked for me.

I ended up needing a new ECU for the idrive - cost GBP£900 ish once fitted and reprogrammed.

Ouch
