All Season Tire Reccomendation

I'm looking for the best non run flat all season tires on the market. I need all season performance and decent durability. I live in an area with a few big pot holes that i have accidentally hit more than once and likely will again, so run flats are essentially out of the question as I'm not paying to replace those as often as I have issues. These pot holes created a tire bubble on my current run flats after only a couple weeks, and the warranty doesn't cover it. The all season part is not as essential but i was looking for the long tread life associated with them and the wet weather performance as It does often rain in my area. I am currently considering the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ as my primary option but I wanted to check for the general consensus before making my choice, and i am by no means set on the A/S 3+'s. Thanks in advance.

A/S 3+ and don't look back. My experience with them has been exceedingly good, even wear, good dry grip for a daily, even better in the wet.

If you don't want to spend the money on A/S 3+, look at Goodyear Eagle Sports. I put them on my E46 about four months before selling it and liked them.

AS3+ has great handling, grip, and crisp steering feel. The ride is very firm. Snow traction is still pretty poor on a rear drive car. Check out the Pirelli P Zero All Season plus for a bit more comfort.

If you don't face snow you might as well go for the Pilot Sport 4S or Super Sport. It will be just as good in the rain as the AS3 IMO.

The Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus is very good. I prefer them by a good margin to the AS3, but haven’t tried the AS3+. I would go Pirelli.

+1. I've had both but prefer those Pirelli. I wanted a tire that wasn't as firm as the as3+ while still having great performance and the Pirelli delivers.

KBLY the summer tires will have a shorter tread life. Remember also that Michelin will cut the warranty in half with a staggered set up.

Bad, it's a grand touring tire. Get the PS4S with your Hawaii climate.

The Pirellis are great tires! Very good in dry and excellent in wet conditions.
However, I am extremely disappointed with the wear on them.
I have 12,000 km on mine and they are at 6/32", so 50%. This is on a daily driver car, not driven aggressively and the wear is even on all 4, so it's not an alignment issue.
So, there's no way I'm getting 80,000km rating out of them.

anyone try the new bridgestone potenza RE980 AS? looking to try those out but its so new that even TireRack doesnt have much about them yet.

I second the Conti recommendation above. The ones I have used with two non-BMW vehicles, both FWD and RWD on 17" wheels, have been the ExtremeContact DWS 06. Besides long tread life, at least in my experience, they're supposed to offer the best light snow traction in an all-season tire. Good luck.

Running RE980 AS on my 128i in 225/45-17 non-staggered. Pretty happy so far, less than 1000 miles. Excellent in dry, pretty good in rain/water. Better than the Pilot A/S 3 tires from 7/32" of tread wearing down to 3/32" of tread in both dry and wet conditions.

Probably a bit better ride quality as well, but that might be a size difference as Pilot A/S 3s were 215/40- and 245/35-18.

No regrets so far!

I just got a set of these. Happy so far. Got them for a good bit cheaper than the AS3's and with a rebate as well.
