To clarify, why wasn’t this compatible with your 2016 NBT EVO?

Well, I currently have a HU_ENTRYNAV with the 6,6inch display. I wanted to upgrade to the larger 8,8. I accidentally bought the wrong part number. This is the latest display for the NBT EVO which has 12V, mine runs on 7,5V apparently... I'm going to try something to overcome that, but till then it's for sale

The older NBT run on 12V.

The newer NBT EVO run on 7.5V

As thus, this is appears NOT to be a NBT EVO display as listed, but a NBT Display.

I have an f32 with NBT... would this just give me a larger screen or would it allow me to add nav?

Currently does not have nav set up.

Thanks

If you don't have the nav, it's not possible to have the larger screen. You have to retrofit a new NBT EVO headunit with navigation for this screen to work

Oh really... then I had them confused. Sorry for the noob mistake.
Just look up the part number and you'll see it's a NBT-EVO screen. If it were a NBT display, it would've just worked on my headunit... but it didn't. I tested it on my moms 330e WITH HU_NBTEVO and it did work as expected. Also, the part numbers matched between the 330e's screen and mine...

You stated you have a 2016 and that has NBT EVO, at least in everywhere else in the world.

Perhaps Belgium did not receive NBT EVO in 2016 MY.

Then again, if that realoem info is to be believed, it should work with ANY F3x from the 2011-2013 CIC to the 2014-2015 NBT to 2016-2018 NBT EVO.

You could be right man, I don't know. I just know things from what I read on the forums...

EDIT: I did some further digging and I am indeed right... There is some kind of mistake in ETK. If you check the part nr's the screen is "exchangeable" with, it suddenly says it's not compatible. And that last fact I can confirm... It's just saying "No Signal" all the time even with coding the correct parameters, so it should be a voltage issue. I'll try and tinker around with a voltage regulator and see what it does...

AGAIN: this item will be still for sale in the meantime
