As long as it hasn't been smoked in, absolutely.

PS - Where can we find these deals?

I just did. 3300 miles. The finance manager drove it. I have to hope he put premium in it. 9k off list and special financing. It didn’t have everything I wanted. But it was the closest I would get without ordering one. I’m happy. It was a new but in service. So 3.5 yr warranty.

I take back what I said. My assumption was based off my my experience with loaner vehicles not the ones the OP is referring to.

I would like to thank tex2670 for being the best member on this forum and for schooling me on the proper ways to reply or not reply to threads on here.

From the bottom of my heart I am sooooooooooo sorry to tex2670 for giving a bad opinion in this thread.

I found mine on cars.com. I had the salesman send me the sticker. I told him I had to think about it. Unless they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. They did.

It shouldn't hurt the car if he didn't use premium.

I would never do that. Also, since a manager drove it, I hope he took better care. But can’t be sure. Time will tell. Every thing is covered for 3.5 years. Except brakes of course.

Why would you assume a corporate demo, driven by BMW executives who could lose their jobs if they were abusing these cars, would be "beat on"?

I don’t plan on keeping the car past warranty, but I think it will be already titled

I absolutely would buy one if I could. Like you said it’s under warranty and if you get rid of it before it runs out even better.

Same with my wife's 328xd. Except for the electronics (radio and idrive computer).

He asked and I gave my opinion and an experience I had sorry if you didn’t like it. As you can see I said I would buy it but I would be I would assume they might not be treated very well because the car is not theirs.

People drive cars that are not theirs like crap just because they make a lot of money doesn’t mean they don’t. They eat in them, put lower grade gas in them, hit curbs with wheels and bumpers, hit other car doors with theirs, spill things and everything else you can think of. Just because they make good money and could get in trouble for doing these things doesn’t mean that it doesn’t happen. So for you to say my assumption is wrong is stupid.

Not everyone does but some people do.

As a BMWNA employee and now retiree, I have never abused any of my corporate vehicles. I have treated them as I would if they were my own. Most, if not all, of my fellow employees and retirees felt the same. Employees that did/do mistreat their car run the risk of losing the benefit. Most cars have very low mileage because the company wants to turn the inventory and get them on the road into customers hands. I would not hesitate to recommend buying or leasing a corporate demo to a friend or relative. I cannot vouch for dealer demos or loaners. I believe loaners may be more of a risk because of the number of different drivers, driving styles and attitudes of said drivers. And now might be a very good time to get a 2018 model. BMW is transitioning to 2019 models and wants to get employees and retirees out of 2018s. So dealers will have access to many 2018 corporate demos.

Mine was an exec demo. Someone at the NJ office had it for 6k miles. I have no reason to believe this person did anything besides baby the car and keep it clean. If my company let me borrow a car I would do the same.

I've been driving it sensibly hard for 10k miles now and so far no issues. It was a good deal. Now a dealer loaner or one of the M school cars ... different story.

NJ does put the front license plate holes in, so that sucks.

Exec demo and service loaner are vastly different things - you shouldn't confuse the two.

True, but to clarify, only assholes do this.

Anytime you buy used, you assume the risk that the previous operator(s) was an asshole or an idiot who doesn't know how to drive. There's a difference between spirited driving and driving like an idiot.
