bmw trouble codes & limp mode

I've been trying to get to the bottom of a limp mode problem for a while.

When cold the car starts & runs fine, once up to normal temp (anything over 160) if I shut it down & restart it idles @ about 750 but when put into R or D idle drops to about 500 & is rough, you cannot rev at all. At this point if I turn off engine & then press start button again to power down completely, then immediately start engine it runs fine. (occasionally it will go back into limp mode & I will have to do this more than once to get it to run)

No check engine lights

I bought a general code reader on amazon but was getting no codes

I had a JB4 on the car that I have removed
also had a drop in air filter which has been removed & back to stock
changed the plugs
cleaned maf sensor
cleaned throttle body
checked charge pipe for cracks & loose connections
checked all vacuum lines I could find to make sure all connections are secure & no leaks
Checked electrical connections practically everywhere & used an electrical cleaner on all the connections I could get at

I now have a check engine light & the following codes
U019F - I have no idea what this means
P0172 - system too rich bank 1

I also got an engine temp warning on my dash & console screen but engine temp was only about 220. (this is accompanied by loud fan noise from engine compartment)

Any ideas on what this problem may be & how to resolve it?

A list from 2012 says U019 is "Reserved by Document" (what ever that means), but all of the numbers before and after it are related to "Lost Communications with ...". Not an exact answer, but maybe it will get you in the area.
