Okay, BMW is throwing so many blues at us I've lost track of where they all fall!
I was going for Sunset Orange but then thought with my VO 1M and wife's orange X1 I needed a change!

Had a blue M235 but can't remember the exact color. Not into Yas blue. Where does LBB fall and is there a current model that uses it I can look at?

Sunset Orange is really bronze and I feel this color looks a little out of place on a sporty car. Kind of funny that SO is not orange and HS is maybe just barely a silver in the right light.

I'm kind of in the same position as you are. Though I am still a little bit of ways away from actually getting a M2C. I too am not too thrilled about the available colors.

Vomit yellow and crayon blue of the M3/M4, meh.
Dull blue of M2/M2C, meh, I think it only looks good under intense artificial light. Broad daylight? Meh, not so much.
Sunset Orange, I may get tired of it after a year.

Back to the good old shades of Grey/White/Silver/Black.

No, I'm with you! On BMWUSA and looking at all M cars and whomever is doing colors has lost all imagination! White(I have 4 white BMW's already!), silver(boring), black(more boring). It's down right depressing!

Yeah, I find LBB to be a bit dull. It's what expect a blue car to look like if it hasn't been washed in months.

It looks amazing under show room lights/gas station lights. But in broad daylight? Meh...

Sorry if you're a fan of the color, it just doesn't do anything for me.

I damn sure won't be getting a LBB just because it's a shade of blue. I generally don't like dull shade of any colors.

In fairness I don't think anyone would categorize this as bright blue. Looks more like teal blue to me?

It's the color I'm probably going with but I'm not 100% sure I like this color.

You can not like it, but it's not a true statement that it's a dull blue. Perhaps you are confusing it with YMB?

It's like saying that bright red looks dull or that black looks very bright and vibrant. It's just factually incorrect.

Also SO does look bronze, it looks bronze in pictures and often times to the eye. I saw a convertible 2 series in SO in my neighborhood a couple weeks ago and it looked like a bronze orange, even a dull orange one might say. Often time people say LBB looks teal, but not dull.

Go to a Ford website and look at the available colors for the Mustang. Those are the colors I would expect offered for a sporty car. I get that BMW isn't selling 80k M2's a year but still it's kind of disappointing at this price point that BMW's color palette is so small and generic. Outside of LBB, 2016-18 models have the colors available you see and expect on an entry level economy car.
