Z4 M40i specs confirm power figures for G20 3 Series M40i - 382 hp / 369 lb-ft

Car and driver did a test of the Z4 M40 prototype and confirms that the car will have 382 horses, according to BMW engineers. and 369 lb-ft of torque.

It is safe to assume the M340i will have the same specs.

M340 might even have slightly better specs as it has been reported in the upcoming model thread that the G20 will have a 48V system which should free up a couple HP.

380hp, mechanical LSD, M Sport brakes, hopefully a better 704 suspension, and VSS standard. Yet they remove the manual transmission. What a waste. I feel like even though people say the new M3 will have a manual, it doesn't make sense NOT to offer it in the M340i if they really are going to bring it to the M3. They might possibly be axing it completely for the G20/G80.

Considering what the Supra ran on the dyno, maybe we will see even more power, especially torque.

The Supra torque figures are identical to the Z4 M40i and the M340i engines, so unless BMW is underrating their figures differently this is probably a good indicator of the actual torque numbers for the 382hp B58 variant.
