Dashcam suggestions

I'm looking for recommendations, and it needs to be iOS compatible. I do not want to connect it to my work laptop every time I want to use it.

Goluk plugs into the glovebox USB for power and is a very simple install

I have this in my Lancer for over half a year now and it works great! I really like the parking mode that doesn't require it to be hardwired to the car. I recently just purchased another one for my F30.

That's something I was wondering about: Are there any that do not need to be hard wired? Thanks!!

The dash cam is battery operated so when the car is off (park mode) the G-sensors are still working while the camera is off. When the G-sensor is triggered the camera turns on and starts recording for 30 seconds (might be a minute) I believe. My only issue is even at low sensitivity, the sensor is overly sensitive; if I open my door too hard the sensor will trigger.

A lot of people have complained about battery powered dash cams but I'm in South Florida and my car is always outside in the blazing heat and I haven't experienced any failures with it.

How about mounting the Roav though. Does it hang low off a suction mount?

No where near as low as it seems. Sorry for the crappy pictures but if you look closely the camera is actually completely hidden behind the rear view mirror.

Thanks. I'm looking at replacing my chinese cam with the Roav as they're only £50. Is power just from an ignition supply via micro USB?

Yes. It comes with a 12V socket adapter and a super long USB to microUSB cable that you can easily reroute around the interior to conceal it.

Thanks. I was thinking either a short run to the overhead lights, or down the A-pillar to wherever there is power.
