Need to refinish a blemish...Please recommend solution
Pulling into the touchless car wash and the attendant guided my driver side wheel right into the guide... I know.. I should have washed the car by hand... but the damn pollen and gypsy moth fodder was just gross and it needed a cleaning... and I had no time. So I am left with a 2" blemish right along the lip. I have read NASARacers procedure from the Audi forum..(highlighted in the link below) I would be ok to try this, but wondering what is recommended for paint to match.
http://guidetodetailing.com/damage-r...d-wheels-rims/ I am running brand new Hyper silver APex Arc-8 wheels. Car is based in Central Mass. It seems that the color is very similar to the BMW silver.. but maybe just a tad lighter/brighter. 1/ Has anyone touched up Apex silver before.. if so what paint, combo of primer color and paint is used? 2/ Has anyone bought the Kit from Bav auto or dupli-color? 3/ Has anyone used a local to (Central New England) shop to do a spot repair and been happy with it? 3/ Other recommendations? |
