Executive Package worth $1200?
2019 M2C moved a couple features of interest to me personally from the M2 Executive Package into the standard list for M2C. Now it appears much less useful to me:
Adaptive LED lights Automatic High Beam Heated steering wheel Wireless Charging Do you folks think it is worth the $1200? |

Only reason I'd want it is for the Adaptive LED lights and Heated steering wheel. Being that you're in CA you need a heated steering wheel as much as I need a cooled one. So, if you don't care about the Adaptive LED lights I'd say skip it.

I think it’s worth it - pretty inclusive package for $1200 if you ask me.

When you're spending 60k for a vehicle and roughly $5,000 in sales tax, what's another $1,200 to complete the package, IMO..

We have an X1 with the adaptive LEDs and they are really very good. Best feature apart from the clarity and color of the lights themselves is how they will activate a LED that points into the corner you are turning into. So if you're turning left into a street, it lights up the everything to directly to the left and slightly in front of the car. When you turn the wheel back to drive on, it turns off the side light. Pretty handy if you're in a region with poor street lighting or tight streets. If my SA ever contacts me with an allocation, I'll be getting this package just for the LEDs.

Depends what you are looking for. I wanted the adaptive lights so I sprung for it. The rest of it I couldn’t care less. At the end of the day, I’ve spent 1200 on worse. So I think I’m ok with this.
What’s useful to you on that list? |

Hmm, when you have LEDs, why do you need adaptive ones? The LEDs such a big move over HIDs, I don't see a big advantage of getting them. Rest of the package has very low value for $1200. After adding $2900 for the stupid tranny, I start thinking of places to cut. Wireless charging? My phone doesn't fit. Hotspot? Who cares. I've never turned on my heated wheel. Auto high beams? Only flash people to pass, the LEDs will solve that problem!

Yeah that does it! What's another $1,200 after $60K, especially considering the added resale value of the package? Thanks! |

I will get it with the Executive package. Like others have said, I looked at the M2 at a local dealer. They had both one with and one with out. the looks alone are worth it.
Plus heating steering wheel is a plus, and am I the only one who thinks the wireless charging is beneficial? |

My 135 has adaptive headlights (not LEDs, but I am going to retrofit them soon). I feel like it's one of those things that once you get used to them, you won't ever want to not have them.
Lots of deer and other animals on the back roads around my area, and having the lights point around the bend, even a little, is helpful driving on rural roads at night.

The aesthetic reason to get Adaptive LEDs is there and most will agree.
However the functional advantage to having them is unfortunately a feature that US spec vehicles get decoded before they hit the shore: Variable Light Distribution. Check out the M3/M4 section for more info. Fortunately its a feature that can be easily re enabled with a bit of coding and an hour or so of your time. After personally owning an M4 with LEDs I made sure to grab them for the M2C. Once you've seen them in action in person you'll regret not ordering them. |
