E90 318i (N43 B20AY) Chip
Morning All
I have a 59 Reg 318i which i massively love driving, love handling and even how it shifts currently but i would like a little bit of extra poke I know there isn't much in the way of tuning for these due to non turbo etc. but i have heard that a chip/box would help a little and improve fuel economy Can anyone recommend any chips that they have used or know about that are reliable and work well? Also if anyone has any tips to squeeze additional power out without stupid money please feel free to comment Thanks in advance

It looks like the E90 318i has the N43B20U0 with 143 hp while the E90 320i has the N43B20O0 with 170hp. I'd have to scrounge RealOEM or the TIS to see if there is a manifold difference like with our N52 cars or what.

The only major differences between the 120 and 118 is the exhaust manifold. Everything else is tuning. There are companies that can tune the 118i in Germany but I have not really heard anything about the outcome.

so theoretically the N43B20O0 flash could be modified to work on a lower power class, of course we don't have an RSA delete, disassembly, or any definitions on the DME. Plus I'll bet it's a Bosch DME, which in some cases uses compressed code (hopefully not).
