How easy to snap off???

Hey I'm looking at installing dps on my car and noticed how corroded the oem studs are that are on there now. Of coarse I'm first going to soak in a penetrant but I don't think the nuts are comming off. Anyone encounter this....my last resort would be snapping them off wondering how difficult it may be. Thanks

Heating them up with a torch should make them come off fairly easy. Worked for me anyways..

On a guys I did who had super corroded bolts I was able to break them off with a normal size 3/8" ratchet with 4" socket extension on it.

When I had to drop the trans they broke off no problem. The issue becomes drilling them out. I burned up 2 or 3 cobalt bits and a lot of time. I'd try heat first as others suggest.

I sprayed mine with PB Blaster, let them sit for 10 minutes, then snapped them with my impact. Unless you have an inductive heater, there's a good chance of snapping them.
The bolts on mine were pressed in, so I beat them out with a sledge

Mine were frozen in.

I tired Kroil Oil and soaking it for 24 hours and then heating the bolts up with a torch. No go.

I had to cut them off with a sawzall & dremmel. I then had to use a torch with yellow gas & heat up the cats & mid-pipe ends to red hot glowing temps & then use an 8# mini sledge to pound out the the remainder of the bolts out of the holes. Not fun.

I installed BMS gaskets and bolts.
