Touchpad

Does anyone actually use the touchpad on the iDrive control knob? I've used it maybe once or twice but have really found it to be not so useful to the point where I don't even use it. Just curious if I'm missing something here.

No, you're not the only one. Initially, I found it nice for entering nav addresses (compared to spinning the knob). However, that was before I found out how useful voice input is.

Never use it.

Glad I didn’t get gesture control.

I use the touch pad frequently. It takes a bit of time to get the feel of it but now it’s really fast and easy. That said, I use it most when the car is stationary and use voice on the go.

Okay ... but gesture control has absolutely nothing to do with the touchpad. I believe the touchpad is standard, whereas the gesture control is that useless thing that comes with the Executive Package (in the US).

Just glad I didn’t pay extra for it as doubt I would have used it. Personal opinion.

I thought it would be useless too, and now I use it fifty times a day. For me it's the easiest way to change songs.
