Factory Trailer Hitch blocking tailgate sensor?

I don't know if this has been asked here, but I think my factory trailer hitch is blocking the foot sensor for the hands free tailgate access. Has anyone had the same problem?

The factory hitch installation removes that option.

If you go with an aftermarket hitch (Stealth hitch), the sensors are not affected.

I'm more of "mad lad". But not really sarcastic. The OEM M Performance diffuser for the M3/M4 also disables the kick open trunk feature. Doesn't ventilated seats for the G01 also remove power side bolsters? Probably many other examples of "it's not a bug it's a feature" excuses
