F30/F31 towbar

Towbar for F30 and F31
Had this on for only a month and used it twice for bikes, but am now buying a fancy detachable one with electrics.

The visible section unbolts from the car so you can't see it.
No electrics.
Takes less than an hour to fit.

£80 cash on collection from Lincolnshire, or I can meet.

who is the manufacturer of this towbar?

I presume its a straight fit.

my intention is to use it for bikes as well - what was your solution for brake light visibility etc?

It's branded A1 Towbars.

Straight fit to both the F30 and F31. Just remove the rear bumper and there are 4 bolts holding on the crash bar which the towbar replaces.

The lights were never covered, so it wasn't really a problem.

Excellent thanks.

How was it for clearance? I have the m performance rear diffuser and am worried how close it would be.

I'm based in the leeds area at the moment, so can get over to you easy enough.

My current standard M-Sport diffuser sits a few inches clear of the towbar, so plenty of space to get in and out from underneath.
Ironically I've just taken delivery of a Performance diffuser, which I've yet to fit, but both appear to follow the same line underneath, so will have the same amount of clearance.

Still sat in the garage at the moment, although on Monday I'll be in Wakefield, Birstall and Leeds City centre.

Towbar is currently sat in my garage awaiting a new home.

I will also be staying in Huddersfield, Leeds and Ripon next week.

Still interested in this, been a bit distracted with work.

I take it this is compatible with an electrics kit? know which one would be recommended?

No worries, just let me know if you want me to pop it in the boot when I'm staying overnight next week.
Any electrics kit will do. I'd be tempted with a generic 7-way bypass relay as these don't upset the canbus.
