Music playing while on call

This is supremely irritating but I can't figure out how to stop it! I'm on Bluetooth I'm on a call and about a minute in, I start hearing music! It starts playing some random song off my phone on the call! I have to pull out my phone and press pause from the lock screen.

Anybody??

Happens to me when I use carplay. I've turned it off completely.

I guess I should. I don't have CarPlay at all, didn't come with my car, I have an iPhone X.

Weird things just happen to people in the wrong part of Texas and you are in a weird city so it seems fitting....

Move to DFW and it probably won't happen.

LOL...I spent my time there at a certain college with horns. I just like the Horned Frogs more now...I was in ATX many, many years ago.

I would suggest deleting the connection with your phone and re-pairing. That definitely should not be happening.

I am having the same problem. I have an iPhone 7 and do not use Carplay.
Recently it was starting Amazon Music and playing in the background so I disabled the apps in the iDrive settings and that stopped that problem however as you are experiencing now it starts my phone music and can only be stopped by pausing it in the lock screen. It is just playing very quietly in the background, not really noticeable if not on a phone call or playing regular audio sources. I did delete my phone and start fresh but that has not solved the issue.
