If you could see radar and behind scenes info
Would have radar info visible be helpful or distracting?
Sometimes there are warnings heard when objects get too close and since it happens fast you don't always know which direction it is coming at you. Maybe the HUD would look like a fighter pilot or air traffic screen? Thoughts? Last edited by Pretzel; 07-02-2018 at 01:27 PM.. Reason: typo |

Sorry it may have come out like ‘car left in the rain’ question!
Maybe put this way it’ll get some replies- the vehicle obviously processes a lot of data. Would it be helpful for some of that information to be visible to the driver? Instead of being just a black box, would that give more reaction time to unexpected events? |

Well from a technical curiosity point of view, I would very much like to be able to play with this. To access the five radar feeds, twelve ultrasonic feeds, as well as KAFAS stereo camera feeds and the four Surroundview cameras, would be nice. Firstly raw feeds through Ethernet (ODBII), but as you say, to be able to put slightly more directional feedback into the HUD would be a nice add-on.
But this would require heavy firmware hacking I would presume. Something that BMW for sure would have played with, right? /n |
