I see a thread over on the bimmerfest forum talking about parts not available with no ETA for Adaptive Cruise Control on the 2019. This of course happened with the 2018 but I am just now hearing of this possible issue with the 2018. Does anyone here know anything about this?

I've seen that thread, but I they might be mistaken. With the ZDA/ZDB ordering problems, I've seen reports that the Active (not Adaptive) Cruise Control (option 5DF) could still be ordered, even though ZDA/ZDB could not (at least on the 2018).

If you only care about the Active Cruise Control, and not the other safety features in ZDA/ZDB, try talking to your dealer about ordering option 5DF (+$1200 MSRP).

Also note that many people have seen sDrive30i (2-wheel drive) models with the driver assistance packages. It's the x30i and M40i that do not have them available. I don't know why; maybe it's because BMW has allocated all of the parts to the 2-wheel drive variant. Regardless, it is what it is.

Hopefully that will work out. And my build preference is Driver Assistance (ZDA) and Active Cruise (5DF) and not Assistance Plus (ZDB).
