Gixxer's X3 M40i Build

Wassup guys!?...longtime member here.

I currently own an e70 Pure Turbos X5M and an f83 M4 convertible
(check out these builds elsewhere on this site and on Instagram; username Gixxerboy63)

My wife has been driving an f83 X3 for the last few years as her daily. Although it has been a great vehicle, we figured it was time to upgrade her technology!

Enter 2018 X3 M40i: Phytonic Blue Metallic over Oyster Vernasca Leather with a host of goodies: Parking Assist plus, Premium package, Executive package, Apple Car Play...etc... we still haven't figured out what all it has!

The power is impressive and we have realized that this truck has a lot of potential...
We really liked the 718M wheels, but figured that we would want something less OEM, so we went with the 19" wheels for now...
Although it may look somewhat basic now, you will just have to continue to check back to see what Gixxer is up to....

First up; New wheels!

I have never been one to leave things stock on a BMW, so I immediately began testing my 22" ADVs from my X5M to dial in a few fitment specs... I was initially thinking 21", but these aren't bad!!!

Don't get too excited; the ADVs don't actually fit; they are 5x120; not 5x112, so this is for a simple visual reference only.
(besides, it makes the rotors look a little stupid)

This will get super interesting. Thrown some HRE 540s . They are making them for the 40 year anniversary

Thanks! I think the HREs are sweet!

Just added 35% tint to the front windows.... not too dark, but goes well with the factory tint on the rear windows. I think it makes the car look more sleek!

I finally decided on a new set of 21" TSW Bathurst wheels in gloss gunmetal (somewhat similar design to the ADV1s I tried in my earlier post)... 20s weren't big enough and 22s were a bit much, so I think the 21s will be the perfect balance.

Those are nice! Do the center caps come out to replace with BMW ones at all? I put Savini BM14's on my Alpine White M40i and the caps can't be replaced. Not a huge deal, but also not a huge fan of the Savini logo...

Did a package deal with the TSW wheels... I believe they were about $400 each...

I’m not sure... I had a set of these in my wife’s SL500 and the Benz centercaps fit perfectly... made it look better than any of the factory AMG wheels, as in an OEM+ appearance.
