My 2019 F90 Competition - Status 195 - On a Ship
SO - I was surprised to say the least. I got an email from my dealer saying July. 27. I thought this meant a July 27th build date.
I was stuck in traffic today and decided to call BMW Canada to see if the car was even in their system yet. I gave the Production number and was shocked to hear it was built and waiting in port to be shipped. I asked three times as I really believed it was a mistake lol. I called my dealership wanting to share a laugh and then got confirmation that the info was correct! It seems "27" is week 27 - not the date. Which means my car was built very early July. My dealer saw the status as "195" which I believe means it is on a ship - so even maxing out the shipping estimations you can find on Bimmerpost - I could have the car August 9th (quickest end of the month lol). I am guessing if this is the case and there are no delays - I could have one of the first CP's in North America. I was also first with my M550ix. That said, we shall see what this brings...hopefully more to come - soon. |

Congrats!
My car finished production on April 19, arrived at Halifax on May 17. There are significant backlog at Halifax auto port so the cars sit there for 3 weeks. Finally picked it up at dealership on June 16. Based on the other thread in the M2 forum, the average idle time at Halifax right now is 2-3 weeks. |

Very nice surprise! I was also pleasantly surprised as well since I had a week 29 build for an M5 Competition and it arrived at the port from the factory yesterday. My port of arrival is Baltimore and hopefully will be getting mine early August as well.

Good luck - I was expecting to wait anyway...its strange I do not see any delays on the Halifax Port website - or any up to date info on there being delays lately...frustrating.

My car - crazy enough - is on the exact same Ship that brought my M550ix over lol - the Toscana. Set for Halifax port - July 23rd. Now - barring any delays there - and whatever delay I will get in the Halifax port - I could have the car as early as the end of this month. That said - although Halifax port is apparently getting better - I would guess I am still looking at least a week there - plus other delays - puts me into the week of August 13th range. We shall see - but very exciting stuff! |
