Please Help Me Decide !!! 3 choices from Tirerack
I have an 07 e90 AW non sport. I don't wanna spend a lot on wheels, but I do need a new set, so the wife and I can tell the cars apart. see this thread
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=150667 I do want a lip on the wheel, I do not plan on lowering it though. First choice is Rial Nogaro 19" Second one is the same wheel, BUT in black and only avail. in 18" Third one is Moda MD1, avail. in 18" & 19" I work in the parts dept. at a dealership, and I use tirerack all the time and get super good wholesale prices, all 3 choices are under $1500, with tires, and I am going with a Kumho Tire. |

If only confined to those 3 choices, my personal first choice for AW would be the Rial Nogaro Black. However, since it only comes in 18"...i would probably choose the 19" silver version. There are better choices out there...but for sub $1500 w/tires, thats a hell of a deal!!!

Rial with the black center. It gives a better contrast with the AW IMO.

Does it matter what size I go with if I don't have sport package, I didn't think it mattered. |

the silver ones, first pic hands down. the black one needs to be bigger to look good (looks too small in 18in due to darker center) while the other has spokes which are IMHO too thin for the 3er bodyshape which is rather heavy. With wheels like that you get effect of body builder on legs like chopsticks.

Maybe a shot on a car will help. These are the 19" ASA AR-1's I have on my car. Keep in mind, I have the sport package and thats gonna help eliminate some of that lifted look you might get. I still need a slight drop but I'm waiting on that. 18's will probably be best if you plan on keeping the stock suspension. Remember, a lip diminishes the "appearance" of the wheels actual size. A lipped 19 can look like a flush 18, so maybe thats another option (CSL, M6..). Just some food for thought, cheers.

Yeah, you're probably right on the color. Just wanted to give you an idea of the basic wheel style on an e90. Tires are General UHP (235/35 Front - 265/30 Rear). Any luck yet with the selection 40?

I'm leaning towards the Rial Nogaro 19", and now I am considering the H&R Sport springs.....I know, I said I wasn't gonna do that, but damit. They look so good lowered.
Are the springs hard to install, and will they give me a stiffer ride, I currently drive a lowered Truck and i'm tired of watching out for manholes and scrapping the frame up, will I have this problem with these springs ??? The Wife doesn't mind the wheels too much, but she will have a fit when I lower it...too bad |

Personally, I don't think black wheels are played out. Here's the reason: on e90post they are everywhere. In real life, I have yet to see a BMW with black wheels - other than a car show. Other than that, I only see them when I get out of my car - IMHO.

Out of those choices, the black centers look best IMO. It's not played out at all, but go with what makes you happy...you have to live with them. |
