New M40i with Spacers
Picked up my wife's new M40i about 2 weeks ago. Got a pretty good deal off the lot. About 11% off MSRP.
TPMS sensor whent bad about 3 miles after buying it and there were none on this side of the planet. Dealer made it right and swapped from another X3 in stock. It has since had the front windows tinted with 15% Ceramic tint. The front bumper, headlights, and rear luggage entry were covered in Suntek PPF. I paint corrected the entire vehicle and sealed with Wolfgang Paint Sealant 3.0 and topped with Collinte 845. Supreme Power 15mm Wheel spacers have been added with H&R wheel bolts. This finished off the look of the vehicle. It's awesome. Before wheel spacers After wheel spacers |

Cool, that’s fair enough... I think it’s just what the car needs.. I thought the track looked a bit too narrow from behind the car but the spacers make look really smart

Spacers will make it turn a little wider and you may notice the steering seems a bit slower at first, but after a while you get used to it. A lot of the effect depends on how the stock suspension/steering geometry was setup of course.

Are you happy with 15mm all around or would you have gone with slightly wider (17.5 or 18) front or rear? I am looking to order some spacers this week but it is hard to tell from pics.

this shot may give it a better view. I edited it to lighten up the shadows to better see the outline of the tire and fender. You can see how much the bottom of the fender tucks in from the top.
You can also get a sense of it here on this side/back view. Any wider and I think it would look like your trying to hard. |

Love-love-love me some Collinite 845 (pictured after a coat)!!! Truly the best around for being so inexpensive and easy to use. One thing I have found however, is that regardless of how thin I apply it (and I apply it very thin as directed) or the velocity and outside temp, it tends to be too greasy when I apply on my Tanzanite Blue M3ZCP. But not as bad when I apply on the M40i. Perhaps the different paints? I actually got some new foam pads yesterday and was going to do my M3 this morning to see if maybe it was my previous pad.
BTW, looks great!

This looks great. I've never used or researched spacers. Do the spacers put any extra forces on the suspension that could create wear issues down the road?

Serious garage envy right now. Looks amazing. May I ask what you do for a living?
