X30i to sound like m40i?

Anyway to mod the exhaust on a 30i m performance to sound more like the m40i? Love the pops and the growl but don’t need the 3.0l estraight 6 engine power.

BMW has played some -"dirty" -tricks with M40i - both with engine, and it has been suggested, also utilizing electronic sound for enhancement.

Next best is M Performance Exhaust system - but it will not produce pops and burbles -only very nice tips and two levels of - also very nice - sound.

Delete your cats and weld those valves open. It'll be loud for sure but sound like an in-line 6 it won't. Maybe find the coding for ASD for the M40i also?

Thanks all. Pity the M40 costs $60k more than a fully spec m sport 30i in Singapore. Not worth it.

The new X4 has m performance exhaust for the 30i...don’t see why it can’t it the x3... sound is 70% there.
